Last Thursday, I went to an event that was put on by the people who run the Butterfly Project at the JCC. It was very nice. It started out with speakers from the JCC who have spent lots of time coordinating all the events the Butterfly Project has done this year (having schools come to the JCC for programs), and then went to two seventh graders reading a poem they wrote and how The Butterfly Project affected them. Then, a teacher from Olde Providence spoke, and then Suly Chenkin spoke. It was a nice night, and I am excited to volunteer my time in the future and do more with the Butterfly Project.
